Blues comeback to defeat Reds
In the first match of the second round of the 2005 Super 12 the Blues defeat the Reds 18-15.
Despite dominating both territory and possession in the first half the Blues were unable score in the first half, although they did come close on a number of occassions. The only score in the first half were through a A 39th minute penalty goal from captain Elton Flatley gave the visitors the half time lead.
The Reds were able to extend their lead through a try to winger Wendell Sailor.
However the blues came back through Carlos Spencer and Luke McAlister. A try to Daniel Heenan brought the Reds within 3 points. Which earned them a bonus point for losing within 7 points.
