Jonah Lomu to switch to league?

All Black great Jonah Lomu is considering a switch to play rugby league for the newly formed Gold Coast Titans.

Medical staff for the Titans must pass Lomu fit on the Gold Coast tomorrow before he enters into preliminary discussions with club’s management.

Lomu played his last rugby international against Wales on 3 November 2002. He under went a kidney transplant in 2004 with the aim of getting back into the All Black team. He attempted a come to first-class level in New Zealand this season for North Harbour, but struggled for form.

Lomu rose to prominence after scoring 4 tries against England at the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Lomu played 73 games as an All Black, including 63 test matches. He scored 43 tries during his All Black career.
