Waratahs wallop Cats

March 13th, 2005

The Waratahs defeated the Cats 40-19 in the last Super 12 match of week 3 in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Waratahs’ fullback Peter Hewat, who was standing in for Mat Rogers who was injured, set up two first-half tries in the first half and scored one in the second half.

The win moves the Waratahs to the top of the table. They have won all three of their matches so far and received a bonus point in each match.

Waratahs sink Sharks

March 7th, 2005

Waratah winger Lote Tuqiri starred as the Waratahs defeated the Sharks 36 -13 in Durban.

At halftime the score was 16-13. In the second half the Waratahs were able to seal an important win away from home.

Waratahs overpower Chiefs

February 25th, 2005

The Waratahs started their 2005 Super 12 of well with a convincing win over the Chiefs. Waratahs scored 25 to the Chiefs 7 points. The Waratahs also earn a bonus point for scoring four tries.

At half time the Waratahs lead the Chiefs 17 points to nil. With Mat Rogers scoring one try and being involved in the lead up to the other two.
