Super 14

Super 14 is a rugby tournament. It is contested for by teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The Super 14 was preceded by the Super 12.

The Super 14 starts with a round robin round, where each team plays every other team once. From these results four finalists are selected.

The four finalists are the four team with the post points after the round robin. Points are awards as follows. 4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for losing by 7 points or less and 1 point for scoring 4 tries or more.

The top ranked side plays the side ranked fourth in one semi final and the second and third ranked teams play each other in the other semi final. The winners of these two semi final then play each other to determine the winner of the Super 14.
