Blues defeat Highlanders

In the first Super 12 game of 2005, the Blues scored 30 to the Highlanders 14 points.

The Blues lead the Highlanders 13-6 at half time. Highlanders skipper, Anton Oliver, played his 100th Super 12 game, the first New Zealander to do so.

Although the Highlanders got close to the try line on several occasions, but the Blues’ defence held out with the exception for one try.
