Argentina Jump Two Spots

In the latest IRB Rankings Argentina have jumped two places from 8th place to 6th place following their surprise win against England at the weekend. This is the highest place that Argentina have held on the table. For England it is the lowest rank they have held.

Rugby World Cup tickets on sale 9 November

The IRB has announced that open sales of tickets for individual matches of the Rugby World Cup will go on sale on the 9th November. Prices start from 10 euros.

This will include tickets for all 40 pool matches and the first allocation of tickets for the quarter-finals and Bronze Final match (third and fourth play-off). The ballot and last phase of single ticket sales for the semi-finals and Final is planned for April 2007.

All Black team to face England named

All Black coach Graham Henry has named his team to face England on Sunday at Twickenham.

Significant are the return of lock Keith Robinson, Nick Evans replacing Dan Carter at first five-eighth and Ma’a Nonu coming in at centre. As well as a complete overhaul of the tight forwards.

Robinson last played for the All Blacks over two years ago. But has suffered from serious knee and back injuries. Recently he made a fairytale return to the Waikato side.

New Zealand: Mils Muliaina, Rico Gear, Ma’a Nonu, Aaron Mauger, Joe Rokocoko, Nick Evans, Byron Kelleher, Chris Masoe, Richie McCaw (c), Reuben Thorne, Chris Jack, Keith Robinson, Carl Hayman, Keven Mealamu, Tony Woodcock. Reserves: Andrew Hore, John Afoa, Clark Dermody, Rodney So’oialo, Andrew Ellis, Daniel Carter, Sitiveni Sivivatu.
